A regular scope for the money. The shallow depth of field only makes the scope suitable for most viewing tasks in the 20x-30x range and some wildlife as long as the subject is stationary. shooting ranges. I don't know what terminology to use here, if you move your eye anywhere other than the exact dot in the center of the lens, everything becomes extremely dark, but out of focus and with lens chromatic aberration. The overall quality of the lens has significant chromatic aberration and appears to have very little contrast. CONCLUSION: I have a Nikon D5600 with a Nikon DX 70-300mm zoom lens and the camera performs much better; through better depth of field and image stabilization through lower weight. I'd say if you have enough money for this scope and aren't practicing pistol/rifle shooting, save some cash for a camera with a good image stabilized lens! I bought a Nikon and a T-mount adapter and am not happy with the time and patience taken to take pictures with this telescope after it took so long to focus with the original eyepiece. attached to the front of the scope. Haven't found it yet and not sure how good eyepiece filters are.
