Working normally but no battery in the remote control

It powered my 1kW supercharger perfectly. The remote didn't have a battery that looks like it could take an N-size cell, but I have no idea what voltage. I received a zip-loc with fuses and plastic terminal guards, but I didn't see any batteries for the remote. Revain only has a return or exchange and I didn't see how I could just ask for a battery or credit to buy it. The inverter looks like a great design and so far has met its specs quite well. Thankfully, remote access is a pretty low priority for me, but I wish the provider would fix that. I'm an electrical engineer so I could figure it out, but I'm lazy.
