I had this drive for my OS and several programs that required SSD speeds and it worked great for the first 6 months. However, after about six months, my computer could no longer recognize the drive at all. Although there is a 3 year guarantee which was one of the reasons I decided to take a chance, I would not recommend this product given some of the negative reviews which seem to reflect my current situation. I was hoping that the 3 year warranty was a better indicator of the drive's lifespan than the negative reviews (which weren't many at the time of my original purchase and I thought they reflected those with drive issues rather than the total number of reviews). customers), at least in my case, this doesn't seem to be the case. I may want to edit my review based on the durability of my replacement drive, but even if the next drive works perfectly, I'll still warn potential buyers that you're going for durability. EDIT: After contacting OCZ about the warranty, they shipped a Trion 150 series drive. While I can't confirm the durability of this drive, it has almost no advantage over the 150 series in terms of cheap drives, read and write speeds are nominally the same and are 550 and 450 MB/s, but the 150 series seems to be slightly faster based on my boot time tests and seems to have a newer firmware version that supposedly fixes old issues. I will withhold final judgment until I can determine the lifespan of the drive and I would still say that the cautious decision is to buy a slightly more expensive drive at a lower price point considering the Trion 100 series . Check out the 150 series instead.
