💾 OCZ Storage Solutions Trion 100 Series 240GB SATA III 2.5" Solid State Drive - Reliable and Lightning-Fast Performance Review

This OCZ SSD is very fast. However, reliability is a HUGE issue. I ordered about 20 of these for a project. 3 of them failed in less than 10 hours. 1 went down today, less than 15 days after installation. Have to go to site to replace ALL with 3rd party SSD. I'm not sure how OCZ can let such a failure rate pass their quality control. Very disappointed. Huge waste of time. Revain is always great. Easily request a refund. Many Thanks.

I bought this for a Mac and then almost never used it - I only put Windows 10 together for exercise and used it daily then it died. probably had less than 1000 hours. Be sure to update the firmware. I really liked how easy it was to replace and they replaced it with a trion which isn't as light as this one but is still desktop. I would buy from Toshiba ocz again if I see a good deal - if I buy on purpose I would get ADATA

I used this to run a homemade Plex Media Server PC. This was the main operating system drive, and a standard high-capacity hard drive was used for the media. The driver worked great. It loaded quickly and served Plex media quickly. Great, until about 3 months later the computer crashed. Reboot shows that the drive is not even recognized by the BIOS. I had this drive for my OS and several programs that required SSD speeds and it worked great for the first 6 months. However, after about six months, my computer could no longer recognize the drive at all. Although there is a 3 year guarantee which was one of the reasons I decided to take a chance, I would not recommend this product given some of the negative reviews which seem to reflect my current situation. It's in my wife's computer and this is my first non-work purchase of an SSD. I know it's an inferior drive, but it's impressively fast for a great price! It's used for typical things like web browsing, using Word and other office suite programs, and casual gaming sessions. That's admittedly a little undercapacity at 120GB, but for most people who don't have a lot of pictures/videos/music, 120GB is plenty. I bought this as my main hard drive for my spare laptop. My laptop is about 5 years old and has become very slow.
