I love the vibe it adds to our home!

Based on another review I read I was nervous about buying the clock but at such a low price from Howard Miller I thought I'd take a chance. I've had the watch for almost 2 weeks now. First of all, I would like to say that they are made or assembled in China. So if that bothers anyone, there's no need to buy them (I'm saying this because I've read that some people were surprised by this in reviews of other watches). The bezels appear to be plastic to me, not sure if they are plastic or wood, but overall the watch is a nice weight. The brass on the bezel and legs is darker than the brass (looks a bit lighter in the photo) and the numbers on the face actually look a bit better/sharper (the edges of the numbers don't look clean in the picture). my computer, especially on the IIII). What I didn't notice in the picture is that there is no second hand, which I would have liked, just the hour chimes (not every 15 minutes), which I really like. After putting the batteries in, I had to install the bells, which was fairly easy. I've never had a clock with a chime, so I wasn't sure I'd like it. Also, some reviews of other watches said the bells are too loud and not adjustable, so I was happy that the volume on this watch is adjustable. I set it to the lowest setting, but not the lowest, and it's perfect. Although next to the TV, I don't notice it when we're watching TV. The ringing is quieter than the volume we watch TV at, but I can hear it in some rooms in my master bedroom when it's quiet. I love the vibe it adds to our home!
