Don't buy the watch

I ordered this solution for $[.] it should be of pretty good quality. When it arrived the "wood" veneer was crumpled. Not broken or deformed in transit, but dented. Hard to believe it's plywood. In addition, the glass front seemed plastic to me. I can't prove it, but I'm sure it was. Eventually the flip-back (to access the clock and battery controls) got stuck. Appears to be sealed. I have already printed out the return slip. I would never consider a Howard Miller watch through Amazon again and

nice and accurate clock

we needed a mantel clock big enough to see the whole room but small enough not to overshadow the picture above the fireplace. This clock met those requirements, so it was purchased (there were other mantel clocks that would have looked better but weren't big enough to be seen "from a distance"). We went for a cherry finish and it's a beautiful and accurate watch. The call worked when first tuned in, but then it started to degrade in sound until it started ringing all the time. Changing the…

Decent but overpriced.

The clock looks very nice. It presents itself well and cuts a fine figure everywhere. The bezel and bezel have a classic design that's easy to read, although the front is tilted slightly to the left on what I got (it's not that noticeable unless you look closely). However, the hourly signal is good, it is a very low quality sound that will remind you of the sound of video games from the 1980s. The volume is adjustable so it's audible across most of the home's ground floor (1,200 square feet)…

I love the vibe it adds to our home!

Based on another review I read I was nervous about buying the clock but at such a low price from Howard Miller I thought I'd take a chance. I've had the watch for almost 2 weeks now. First of all, I would like to say that they are made or assembled in China. So if that bothers anyone, there's no need to buy them (I'm saying this because I've read that some people were surprised by this in reviews of other watches). The bezels appear to be plastic to me, not sure if they are plastic or wood, but
