Review on 🔥 High-Temperature Self-Stick Lid Seal - FireBlack 220 Gasket for Vision Grill by Matthew Marquez

This gasket was installed on a Vision Brand Signature Series Kamado Grill. Advantages: The gasket is easy to install and the backing paper is easy to remove. After removing the old gasket and cleaning it thoroughly with alcohol, the new gasket adhered very well. Cons: The thickness was barely too thin for an optimal seal between the lid and the outer shell, but it still works. After installing the shim, I ran the "dollar bill" test. To do this, place a dollar bill between the top and bottom spacers and close the lid. Then drag the score. Ideally, the seal should be very tight and the bill will show noticeable resistance when pulled out. Unfortunately, the bill was barely held between two spacers. But after three smoking and grilling sessions I had no issues with smoke or heat. Overall: 4.2 stars. Imperfect sealing but satisfactory performance. Easy installation and excellent adhesion compensate for a slightly imperfect seal.
