Review on 🌬️ Vornado OSCR37 AE Oscillating Tower Fan: Alexa-Compatible, Whole Room Air Circulator in Black - Certified for Humans! by Tony Fuchs

Just not what I expected from Vornado

In the summer of 2020 I lived in a place with no air conditioning, but they had Vornado. It saved my life. I was so impressed by his strength! When I looked at them, I thought the prices were very fair. So I bought 5303, which was called "Small Whole Room Air Circulation Fan". I really like it and always take it with me when I travel (not on the plane). The only thing I missed about the 5303 was 1) it doesn't oscillate and 2) there's no remote control. I had a lot of work to do when I was across the room, totally buried by my project and absolutely fried. Time and again I wished for a remote control that would allow me to take advantage of the Vornado sitting across the room and facing the other way. Also (probably 3) it is too loud, at least in the mids and especially in the highs. I'm not complaining but something quieter would make it easier to listen to TV/stereo etc on hot nights without disturbing others. I tested different models and finally decided on this one. I liked the height and figured if I put it at about waist height it would hit most of the room, especially my torso when I'm working on my feet. (Yes, I know you should put it on the floor. But I felt it was a safety issue, not functionality, so I decided to just make sure it's good and safe and take the risk.) Super easy set up. SUPER quiet. I'm very happy with the volume. (Note: The reviewer who said that anyone who thinks it's quiet here must have hearing problems? Even by her own words, it seems obvious that her unit has malfunctioned! A year-old fan is quieter than this one , even on the lowest settings!.. okay. I mean everything is fine. But this is already my third experience with Vornado and the other two models were SO POWERFUL so I thought they were all like that. I thought that was what made the Vornado the Vornado. It's just a big rotating fan. Tried it both on the floor and at waist height. The "high" just isn't that strong and I basically don't even care about lower ones Steps! Also the remote sensor is SO CLEAN and I find it DOESN'T work when mounted at waist height you really need to point the remote straight at the top of the fan not only does it suck but I'm h Get used to technology these days when you don't even have to steer the pool ut to your device! My Firestick works no matter where I point the remote! As well as many other things I use. So it's been a long time since I've had a remote that required such a specific target, which is why it seems dated. The remote control is also tiny and fragile, and I'm very afraid of losing or damaging it. I really hope it's interchangeable (and inexpensive) because I don't see it lasting very long. In any case, the fan is generally fine. I think the price is right. It's just that I could buy any large, remote controlled spinning fan (probably for a lot less money). I picked Vornado specifically because I expected strength from them, and rightly so. no
