Lately my daughter has been liking mashed potatoes. She's only 15 so I decided to buy her to help her cook. (And less lumpy) It really is a very simple tool. Boil our potatoes until tender, drain the water and then return them to the hot pan to remove excess moisture. Then add one at a time to the rice cooker and close the handles over the mixing bowl. Repeat the process until done and if a potato has tried to rise up the sides, simply scrape it into the rice machine before adding the next potato. Continue to your liking. We mix warmed halves, salt, pepper, melted butter and sometimes some cream cheese. While using the Norpro potato ricer, we had delicious lump-free mashed potatoes!
