The idea behind this tray was so brilliant. Use the box haha). It's waterproof (or eye-tight) and the zipper keeps the linens very secure when you walk with the handle. I loved the portability and the fact that it closes so well for travel. Especially for a girl traveling alone. Pet friendly, so many things to take away, it was nice. BUT. I find my cats to be pretty neat in their litter habits, but this litter box was too small. The second morning we had a bad accident and all the urine was on the side of the pan (easy to fold) and the floor of the hotel bathroom. Thank God it was the tiles and I brought cleaning supplies with me. But the pot was soiled with an odor in the back of the car for the rest of the trip and I had no choice but to continue using it. My cats NEVER had an accident in front of the ore; Only the diameter of the pan was too small. For my return trip I searched and searched for the same item but larger and could not find it. I ended up buying a $10 short and long plastic Rubbermaid basket with a resealable lid at a major hardware store, and I'll tell you it was BETTER for travel. Sealed well, I was able to put things on it while driving, it's easy to carry, and it's very roomy for the cats to do their own thing. This might work if you're traveling with a kitten, but otherwise look elsewhere. I'm not sponsored or anything either, but using a Feliway spray in their drawers before putting them in for hours of driving has kept them calm and still. I even sprayed a little in the hotel room before unloading them. Good material for traveling with cats, which is not a pleasant task.
