Seen many versions of this, from $8 to $22. I chose it because it's cheap and flexible. I didn't want to use zip ties so I taped them around the coffee can. I secured it with zip ties while it dried and then removed it. I left some material hanging from the can below to attach the anchor bolt. It worked better than I expected and I'm so happy! Took me 15 minutes from start to finish. The coffee tin gives the trunk a more realistic width and has enough room to fit the Christmas lights through and out of sight. The coffee can is much more textured, allowing me to tie the tree's skirt tightly around the trunk without wrinkling the bark (which is very flexible). I only used half the material and now I have enough for my mother's artificial Christmas tree. Very happy. Cheap and works!
