We bought this roof mat for my Cadillac SRX along with the Keeper waterproof roof bag 07203-1. The reason for this purchase was a trip to the Texas coast. We had 2 adults and 3 children in the car and there was no way to fit all of our luggage, beach canopy, toys and baby gear. If you've ever traveled with kids, it's like moving. We had to find another alternative to carry our stuff around. I started researching roof bags and found that most people buy this mat to keep it from sliding forward or backward when accelerating or stopping. My car is a mid-size crossover and its top is small. So we bought a bag and a rug in mid-June. We tried it out about a week before to make sure it fit right and it worked! Now comes the hard part. Fits everything on the roof of my tiny car, mat and bag fit. And I like to say YES. So we went to the beach. I never got caught in the rain on the way. But this bag stayed in place! So it not only protected my car from scratches but also my bag from damage. If you're buying a roof bag, no matter the brand, this blanket is a must. It's a similar material to the liners you put in shelves, but much thicker. It can also be cut if necessary.
