When I moved I left behind a big old wet/dry vac that had problems - I had a small piece of metal I left with it - in order to keep the start button pressed I had to push this small piece of metal with it he can continue working. I missed the shop vacuum as it comes in handy quite often. This one is a lot smaller than my old one but works a lot better! The suction power of a wet/dry vacuum cleaner is significantly higher than that of a conventional vacuum cleaner. I'm happy with how it picks up hair, other dirt and debris and because it's smaller it's easier to store.
