Worked great most of the year but when codes .

About a year ago my 96 SL1 started showing an SES light with EGR codes. I removed about a tablespoon of charcoal from the original valve. Worked great most of the year but when the codes came back I replaced the EGR valve with this one. No more SES and it's working fine again. The new valve feels just as strong as the original. Probably won't have to buy any more.
