Do not buy this unit

I bought this because I like shredded lettuce and it is not shredded. Tried chopping iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, red cabbage and carrots and they didn't shred at all. The base stuck to the surface but the grip kept coming off. Replaced twice on all new machines and handles kept falling off when sanded. The only blade that worked at all was the cutting blade. Don't buy this. That does not work. The cheap plastic handle makes it not worth the hassle and time.
