I trusted the reviews and ordered a size down. My son is a size 6 so I ordered a size 5. It was too small and seemed true to size. We have to send them back. I hope the size fits! So be careful with reviews! Maybe the manufacturer made adjustments based on the feedback so that this problem no longer occurs? They are very cute and don't look "cheap" like I feared.
