Review on ๐Ÿš— Enhance Vehicle Stability with Monroe 58645 Monroe Load Adjust Shock Absorber by Kevin Webb

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for my 2001 Honda Odyssey (good if you're towing extra weight or towing a lot)

I usually carry 700 pounds of excess weight and after 200,000 miles the rear end sagged under that weight. The ride wasn't bouncy (meaning the rear shocks hadn't exploded yet), but I just didn't like the sag because it gave the minivan a gangster look. These shocks appear to have raised the rear end by about 1 inch (200 miles on them to confirm) and the sag, while not gone, is visually much less than worn OEM shocks. The minivan looks almost lined up even at 700 pounds; without the weight, it looks like the rear end is a bit taller than the rear (but not as big as a handicap van or something ridiculous). Ride quality is stiffer than OEM and they ride great on the highway; Stability at high speeds is good. As mentioned by other Amazon reviewers, the ride quality on pothole-filled roads is a little worse than the OEM, but I haven't heard streams of speed bumps yet. I also looked at the Gabriel light truck shocks (which don't have a spring) but ended up trying these and I really like them. Highly recommended if you are carrying or towing extra weight.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Damaged
