I knew it needed a locksmith, it's important that you do too; My Elantra in particular is a 2007 and I'm not sure if there are later models or not. But other than that it's a great fob, works like a charm and the battery lasts three months without having to wait for a replacement anytime soon (I've had plenty of secondary fobs and batteries have been dying like flies, this one is an exception)
