This adapter works very well for low flow products. Most electronic devices that require an additional 12V connection do not require much voltage/current, but you do need to pay close attention to the details of what you intend to use it for. I needed this for use with a high capacity USB battery/charger rated for the performance of a portable marine radio. That's wonderful. It won't charge it very well, but it will work for a long time without draining the radio. Ideal for radar detectors and other devices from a USB source.
