The board itself feels pleasant pleasant even smells pleasant. The carrying tube is very good, not just a cardboard tube, unscrew both ends, white and black, they have their own bags, good enough bags again. My only complaint is that they feel cheap and big. The tissue underneath is real and should recover over time. Overall I would say this is ideal if you are buying multiple sets for a small tournament or a first set for a child. But if you're a longtime player like me who wanted your own tournament board, I'd say spend the extra $10-$15 and get 1 of the $30 sets. The only reason I got this set is because I wanted a "whistle" and not a carrying case. It's pretty much what I had as a kid. So I will keep this set but buy another one, hopefully I can find a random gifted player to give this set to since my 1st set was given to me.
