Review on ๐ŸŽถ U-Turn Audio Orbit Special Turntable: Exquisite Sound with Walnut Finish by Christopher Morgan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well made simple turntable

Good TT for the price. It's not very heavy, but well made. It's very easy to set up right out of the well-packaged box. The red Ortofon pickup is a plus. The sound is good and the solid wood base is of good quality. The only downside is that it has a round drive belt instead of a flat one, which is why I often come across this. Most likely a user problem. Additionally, if you place decent speakers too close to it, the TT will pick up a significant amount of speaker feedback. As long as the speakers are far enough away from the TT there is no problem. Keep in mind this is a fully manual TT so you must be there when the album page ends or it will continue. I also have a Fluance rt85 TT with orthophone. with the blue cartridge, and for $50 more, you get more bang for your buck. Both TTs are decent mid-range cars. I am happy with both!

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose
Cons
  • May damage
