I often use them on the underside of my furniture to protect hardwood floors. The greater thickness ensures that they will still protect the floor even after they have flattened out under the weight of the furniture over the years. I only wish it could be made into long rolls of different widths (I only found 1/2 inch wide and 5 feet at my local Lowe's. But at least these sheets allow me to cut my own pieces to whatever size I want. I recently built a base for a king bed and had to cut 46 3/4 inch wide pieces to cover all of the vertical plywood touching the floor.
