This could be a really great tool, but it has two main disadvantages: 1. Even with a few layers of teflon tape around the threads, it won't hold firmly in the spark plug hole. I tightened it as best I could and then found the top of the piston, so I think I'll get it done pretty quickly at this point. But when I turned back to find the top of the piston, it was very loose in the spark plug hole. So I tried again by hand, but then the main screw started moving and I lost my original size (see error #2). Tried several times with the same result and eventually gave up. I don't know if the compression is pushing it out because it's not tight, but something is afoot. It seems tight but when you twist it it basically popped out.2. It takes a little much longer to last when it's first turned on. On a conventional engine this design might work well, but on an air-cooled engine where the #1 cylinder plug is difficult to reach and you have to start it with your fingers, it will be very short. I tried using my fingers but since the threads didn't fit well it didn't work because they kept wiggling. I then tried a long drive, but it was difficult to launch because the strings didn't snag easily and I didn't want to cross the hole. When I removed it and put in a standard spark plug, the spark plug went right in and tightened so the filaments on this tool are turned off. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I felt I had to.
