I love Mabef. My giant Mabef studio easel and I have never complained about it. At first I was excited about this easel as I had wanted one for a long time. The box arrived battered but the contents were fine despite poor packaging and delivery. All was going well until I realized that when Mabef built this magnificent easel, the "master" was responsible for installing the parts that hold the legs in place. torn from the wood. Thus, the leg simply accidentally falls out and remains unsecured. The entire mechanism pops out of a massive cut-out hole on the side. If I were an employee of Mabef, I would at least patch the hole and then ship it. But no, you just punched him there and pretended everything was fine. Which is very disappointing considering how much I paid for the quality of Mabef. Maybe it's not entirely the manufacturer's fault, maybe it's because the hardware used to hold this thing together is very, very poorly made.
