was damaged I have been using this product for a while. This is an inexpensive alternative to expensive Velcro, but not as effective in some cases. It's ok for light use. However, with severe stretching, the tape will begin to separate from the material to which it is glued. I took the tape off and reapplied with industrial grade glue and then reapplied and it works very well, especially on a porous surface like leather or fabric. It could also be sewn on to provide fixation. In addition, the fibers wear and lose their ability to engage hooks. The roll is extra large so it will last and there are many ways to use it effectively around the home, from holding it together to holding it up, under or over it. I keep mine in a flat box so it doesn't fall apart, which will happen if allowed. You get a lot of tape for the price and it's good for light use. If you are working with something with a lot of traction I would suggest you use the Velcro brand. Otherwise a good buy and a good product.
