Good design, bad execution. Not recommended for professionals.

I'm a bit disappointed with this product. The idea is great, but it takes work to implement it. The folding handle is great but small. It's hard to get a good grip. When you're putting a $5,000+ camera and lens on a tripod, you need to make sure it's securely attached. The thread is too short. After replacing the factory screw, I noticed that it only protrudes slightly over the bottom of the plate. I could only do 1/2 turn at the bottom of the lens and it was difficult to tighten. Not reliable enough for my blood. A 70-200 2.8 lens on a Mark III with battery grip held 1/2 turn on a tripod. No, it's not good. A longer thread tightens the screw better, allowing the plate mat to push in and hold the camera in place. With this screw, the D-ring is too small and the screw is too short to have a good grip on the camera side or to tighten with fingers. I have attached some photos so you can see the size and length. flows. I am using a professional gear head and your platter may be different. Most professional outlets have a thicker base plate that requires longer threads. This setup is definitely designed for a professional tripod head.

Pros
