These screws solve the tripod thread problem on my Nikon P900 and P1000

The tripod thread on my Nikon P900 and P1000 is too small for the screws that came with one of my five Arca-Swiss types become quick release plates. This means that the screws cannot be fully tightened because the socket is too small. So the camera is not properly fixed on the plate. These screws solve the problem as they are only slightly shorter than the original screws. They look strong enough and long enough to hold my cameras.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Communication with the seller

Wrong item I received

Spending $1,000 on this prop I wanted something that would give me more confidence. The screws I received are not. Revain's photos for this product show the mounting bolt with a thick, strong, cast metal D-ring. The item I received has a much thinner wire D-ring. I have attached a picture of what I received. If you compare my photo to the supplier's photos on Revain you can surely see a clear difference in the design of the propeller - most notably the construction and design of the D-ring.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Only available in black

I have had several Ikan liqueurs but the rings were too big

I bought these to replace with similar Ikan tinctures which were always too big for my Manfrotto records. With some of my tripod heads (non-Manfrotto) I've had head locking issues at times, and I've had trouble detaching the camera from the head without wobbling. Rings of any type are incredibly comfortable, but I wanted something smaller so they were less likely to get in the way. Please note I still use my old drinks but in different records.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Best head size for camera and photo

I was expecting the screw head to be bigger. It barely covers the slot in the tripod base. On some of my cymbals the unthreaded section is not long enough to work. Next time I will ask for all measurements like head diameter, unthreaded area and thread length before buying. The overall length didn't tell me much other than that it was the same as that in my panels with those screws. The heads on them are 11.8mm, the threaded length is 5.75mm, the unthreaded length is 3.8mm. I need with a head…

But should be 5 stars.

I mean how hard is it to design and build a D-handle machine screw that works the way you want it to? This is because the D-ring that attaches to the screw head is so loose that it actually prevents the mounting plate from attaching to the bottom of the camera. The whole idea was to have a screw that didn't require a hex wrench to install and remove. But. you have to try a bit to align and rotate the screw head with the D-ring as it keeps getting stuck and you can't tighten it. Eventually you…

The perfect replacement or upgrade, the D-ring is a MUST!

Edit** Almost 3 years later and I still have them, I use them and I haven't had a single failure. They are a mandatory replacement for any 1/4" camera screw. The D-ring makes screwing on and off incredibly easy, just tight enough without over-tightening. Packaged were 5 advertised screws at an unbeatable price. Shaft is a must for most torches and the Neewer Glide cam in particular, allowing you to navigate the duct while also mounting the camera in the best spot The screws seem to be of good…

They are perfect for what they were designed for

I see many complaints about them. I personally love them. They fit perfectly with the certified Arca mounting plate. Some slabs are deeper, some are shallow. Please check the depth before purchasing. This discourages you from returning them. I use Colorado ball heads and two other Arca certified Giotto hydraulic head mounts and they work with them too. They are durable and the flip ring works as intended. The trick is not to overtighten. Too many people think it should be airtight. If your…

Good design, bad execution. Not recommended for professionals.

I'm a bit disappointed with this product. The idea is great, but it takes work to implement it. The folding handle is great but small. It's hard to get a good grip. When you're putting a $5,000+ camera and lens on a tripod, you need to make sure it's securely attached. The thread is too short. After replacing the factory screw, I noticed that it only protrudes slightly over the bottom of the plate. I could only do 1/2 turn at the bottom of the lens and it was difficult to tighten. Not reliable…
