This tool simplifies choke tube removal and virtually eliminates the risk of ruptured AC line tubing. This kit is the same as OTC and some others as far as I know. I have used an OTC kit in the past. It is identical to this one except it comes with instructions. The tool is easy to learn, but if you only use it once or twice a year, it might be a good idea to take a refresher course. So yes, this kit is great for safely removing perforated tubing. But if the OTC kit is about the same price I would take it since you can get the instructions.
