I have a 10 year old Sharp Aquos 65" LED. Nice TV but VESA holes are 'First Gen' for no better term. New TVs have mounting holes in a smaller size But back when this TV was made I guess they didn't think much about it.We had it in the living room with the stand that came with it, but when we got the new TV we put it in the bedroom and needed a wall mount.The top ones and bottom holes are 650mm or about 25". This limits the mounts that can be used for this. I've only found two at Revain (and none locally). This was one of them. Very easy to wall mount to be honest, Easy to mount on the TV and very easy to connect to the wall You just lift the TV over the edge of the wall bracket and it falls down and 'clings' and then fixes it folded below. There's a lanyard to unlock it (better than a hex bolt you can't reach). So why four stars? First, while the part that mounts to the wall is fairly standard thickness, the part that bolts to the TV and swing arms feels a little flimsy. I usually use Sanus mounts, and they're solid, recycled pieces of metal that can be run over by a tank. It's pretty much what you'd expect for $45. But they are strong enough as this mount will not detach from the wall. Another problem is that the screw holes are designed for very small screws. The screws I needed for my TV were 10mm x 1.50 which is quite thick. In order to get it working with the bracket I had to drill larger holes in the part that attaches to the TV, which I am sure voids any warranty on this bracket. But it worked and I don't think I need to send it back. The TV is about 5 inches from the wall, which is good as there is room for the cables to be connected. The tilt is good too, but I recommend tightening the tilt screws a bit before installing. There is a set screw to fix it. , but if the other tilt screws are not tightened (and it is almost impossible to tighten them after installing the TV), it will not hold. Just a tip if you are reading this and then buying a mount. In general, I recommend that this is especially important for big old TVs that may have a non-standard screw pattern.
