I am skeptical about supplements. Whether it's for me or my pets, I always do a lot of research before purchasing any dietary supplement. Last summer my 12-year-old yellow Lab was increasingly squeaking with arthritis. She had been taking prescription pain medication for several years and I was nearing the maximum dose that I could safely give her. I started researching possible supplements (to use in addition to pain relievers) and found many fish oil recommendations for arthritis. I checked out several veterinary blogs to learn about the best dosages of fish oil and vitamin E. After receiving my training, I began researching the various dog fish oil supplements on the market. My search led me to this Bonnie and Clyde product. Skill skeptical I ordered a bottle. When the bottle arrived, I experienced many surprises. The first surprise was how well the bottle was packaged. Never a single fish oil spill during shipping (I'm on bottle #3 now). The fish oil pump never got clogged either (I expected that. Again - I'm a skeptic). My second surprise was that the product didn't stink to high heaven. The product has a very, very slight smell, but it is by no means an unpleasant fishy smell. My third surprise was the informative emails that the company regularly sends out. When I buy a product from Revain, the company often sends me spam emails that I end up in the trash without even reading. The emails from Bonnie and Clyde are informative, both about the product and any upcoming special offers or even stock outages (unfortunately I got that email from them today). My last and best surprise came a few months after I started fishing with my dog. Oil. I was already on my second bottle and wasn't sure if it would work on her joints (both being skeptical and thinking I could see what I wanted to see, not reality). One day a family member came to me who hadn't seen my dog for several months. A few hours after arrival he mentioned that my dog was moving much better than usual and asked what I was giving him. The only change in her diet was the addition of this fish oil. Looking back at how my dog was before fish oil last summer and how she is now (on her third bottle of fish oil) I am very glad I found this product. My dog always had trouble getting up before fish oil and almost always wiggled his paws. She could barely go to and from the mailbox during our daily walks. Today she stands up much more easily and only staggers occasionally. Our daily walks are now much longer (sometimes half a mile). I wholeheartedly recommend Bonnie and Clyde's Fish Oil. This product has improved my sweet old dog's quality of life, for which I am very grateful.
