Review on Plugfones Liberate 2.0 Bluetooth In-Ear Earplug Earbuds- Noise Reduction Headphones with Mic and Controls (Blue & Yellow) by Mick Ohlrogge

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good for a haircut, maybe not so good for a Metallica gig.

In short, they last about 10 hours on a full charge, but they're comfortable and block noise. Partially. I use power tools and noisy, whining power tools all day for 10-12 hour shifts. I would say that I would like to hear different types of white noise, basically what I call music. But I didn't want to buy portable speakers and add to that noise, and I didn't want regular headphones because they wouldn't block the noise and I would have louder sounds right in my ears. I also wanted wireless headphones so the chords wouldn't get stuck in my instruments. This product works well. Noise cancellation is good enough for power tools and potentially noisy traffic, but a 26dB NRR for adapters with silicone plugs seems inadequate. This rating should correspond to sufficient noise reduction for a loud concert. I wouldn't take silicone or foam rubber adapters with me to a concert. They block noise, but not as well. Bluetooth will work within 20-25 feet of your device but I don't expect them to work as a radio or anything like that. The sound quality is better than your regular in-ears/headphones, so the $100 price tag is justified. Overall I was happy with my purchase and would do it again.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
