When I ordered this I was afraid that my old thick laptop would slip off. I was concerned about the height of the front lip. I was happy that it holds the laptop perfectly. This is because it doesn't hold the laptop at a very steep angle. I use a separate keyboard so the stand only supports the laptop for airflow. Opening the laptop on the stand is problematic as the stand is quite light. The stand starts to slide. Otherwise, it's a thoughtful design and very attractive.
