Review on Stuart Pet Supply Co. Professional Strength Urine Odor Eliminator and Enzymatic Cleaner: Effortlessly Remove Pet Stains and Odors! by Alyssa Mansfield

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My problem is a small bedroom, the exact problem area is unknown. This is my third big attempt to find a solution.

I only bought and used a similar enzyme product for dogs at my local supermarket, but then I saw it at Revain, which works for both dogs and cats. I knew I needed more grout so I got this and retreated the same areas while moving the furniture and upholstery around. The carpet was new 1.5 years ago (and it was 9 months before the old carpet and carpet was installed, the house was empty while I worked on it), the new carpet has never peed. Before installing new carpet I treated the floor 4 times with a solution of ammonia and water, talc and baking soda, thought it worked, everything seemed fine for a short time while I was in the room doing electrical work. A few months after the carpet was installed I realized I still had a problem, the room was still unsuitable for sleeping but oddly the new carpet smelled ok. I repeated the steps a year ago but used a different enzyme product (given to me by a friend) and also replaced the carpet padding, also used baking soda and talcum powder. I didn't really think the new pad was the problem before, but I replaced it anyway, it's not hard. I'm trying. Today I'm doing it again, spraying the carpet and drying it in the sun (I don't see that as a problem), spraying the floors and this time all the walls and ceilings. I use a bottle sprayer, it's not that hard to do but I don't know how well it penetrates. I can tell it runs down the walls and then smudges a bit, but it can be rubbed with a large tile sponge and it seems to work. Wait for instructions, re-lay the carpet and do the other side. This works well, at least for a smaller area. Every square inch of the room is now treated and dried. In terms of design, this room has a higher temperature with a textured plasterboard surface. It has been repainted as were the walls. As I walked up the stairs (and pressed my nose to the walls) at high points, I smelled the old bad smell. I have to assume it will seep into anything even if not peed directly on it and that's actually what I wanted to get across here as I haven't seen anyone mention walls and ceiling The air duct to this room is a bit dirty. I plan to edit it as best I can tomorrow. I haven't fixed the issue yet, but wanted to warn others about a possible problem with the walls and ceiling. The previous tenants apparently kept dogs (or maybe a cat) in this room and just let them pee. There were stains in other parts of the house, but basic treatments were sufficient for me when doing renovations after buying the house. This room was a nightmare. So far so good, but it's really too early to tell. Also look for other suggestions. This product is flavored; The first one I bought wasn't like that and actually had a nicer smell. But if it works, I'm happy. I'm not sure what the next step would be if this wasn't the case. 4 stars, one discount per fragrance. Edit: As for flavor, I have to assume it's fading - I think that's fine. 1 day later so far so good. I plan to refinish some parts of the walls and air duct. I will update when I can.
