I've been following this item since I first saw it on Wayfair for $100 and then sold out and never been restocked. I liked the look and one of my cats loves tube/semi-tube. She has outgrown her current bed so when I saw it on Amazon for $54 I had to buy it! It's been about a week now. When unpacking, it smells very strongly of chemicals. I left it outside the full 24 hours and it still smells. My cats explore and sniff it and then come back. I sprayed the fabric with fever, smeared it with catnip, put it back outside. then i took it to my bedroom last night and i'm not kidding, i woke up at 1am and all i can smell is the smell of burnt plastic. That's why I decided to write this review. No wonder cats don't approach him. Not to mention, as others have pointed out, there are a few scratches on the legs and a couple of deep scratches. The product was well packaged so idk. Also, part marking leg stickers are not easily removed. You are torn. You'll need some lighter fluid to wipe them clean, then wipe them down with a clean rag just to be safe. I gave it 3 stars because I still like the way it looks, big it's quite durable - on carpet but I'm really disappointed with the strong fumes it gives off. I can literally feel my eyes burning right now. I will put it outside again.
