My wife likes the nice shiny look (see picture) but the 25W bulb is not suitable for lighting. I tested a standard 40 watt candelabra light bulb with a small E12 screw base that fits. 40w provided the required brightness but the label on the mirror says 25w max probably due to the heat generated by the higher wattage bulb so I ordered a small/cold 40w led light which only Consumes 4 W and has the same characteristics. Screw base of the candelabra. There are two advertised descriptions of the height of Jerdon's mirror, one says 13.75 inches tall and the other says 14 inches tall, and BOTH are WRONG. I needed 13.75 inches or less to clear a medicine cabinet door, so I took a chance and ordered this mirror. The mirror is actually just over 14 inches tall, approximately 14.25 inches (difficult to measure accurately with the base during shipping). Luckily there's that perfect spot on the vanity that's just clearing the door, which is why we left it. 3 stars for insufficient bulb and "not as advertised" height measurement.
