These brushes are great for many tasks, but stainless steel brushes will scratch many surfaces. I've used it to remove stains from patio pavers with great success, but when I tried it on a hardwood floor, the wood scratched. I stopped in time for the major damage and repaired the scratches with wax, but I won't try again. The grips are great and I will continue to use them on the patio and outside surfaces. And they work well on bathroom tile but not plastic tubs.
