Faster alternative to USB drives

Summary: I've recently started migrating to USB-C and USB 3.1, so I wanted to try this drive to see if it's faster. Claimed speeds: 350MB/s read and 200MB/s write. I compare this to a SEKC 256GB 3.1 flash drive. Details: Primary desktop is a Dell XPS 8920. System drive is a 250GB SSD. Two more hard drives for data, 1.0 TB and 6.0 TB. External USB ports: USB-C 3.1 (rear), USB-A 3.1 (rear), USB-A 3.0 (front). The difference in transfer speed between front (3.0) and rear (3.1) was negligible. Test Method: The test program I use is ATTO Disk Benchmark (free software). I tried several different ones and settled on this one because the resulting image was relatively easy to compare to other results. When evaluating the results, I mainly paid attention to the transfer speed for files from 1 MB. Observations: Between the front (3.0) and rear (3.1) ports, I saw slightly better write speeds (255 vs. 295 MB/s) on the rear port (expected). The reading speed was 440 MB/s on both ports. Recommendation: Get a good free speed tester. Pros: Good fit and finish; speed as advertised; blue activity indicator. Cons: None. Conclusion: I will use it instead of my flash drives because the size is quite close and the transfer speed is 2 times faster and the writing speed is 4-5 times faster.
