Portable, compact and beautiful solid state drive

Small and good quality. My laptop is a SurfaceBook i5, 128GB SSD and 8GB RAM. I ran a test with CrystalDiskMark and pasted the result into the image area. That is good for me. I'm not a programmer. I think it's not that fast for her. The package says up to 500MB. In general I like it.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • poorly designed

Write speeds are quite slow for SSDs and smaller capacities.

The overall design of this portable drive is beautiful. It is very small thin factor which makes it easy to store and light weight makes it very easy to carry. It is made of aluminum and does not get very hot during transfer. It uses a Micro USB 3.0 connector, which is now a bit dated compared to the unavailable Type-C drives that offer higher speeds. The cable is about a foot long, which is the standard for any USB cable these days. It's also fairly well built and made from a thick material so

Faster alternative to USB drives

Summary: I've recently started migrating to USB-C and USB 3.1, so I wanted to try this drive to see if it's faster. Claimed speeds: 350MB/s read and 200MB/s write. I compare this to a SEKC 256GB 3.1 flash drive. Details: Primary desktop is a Dell XPS 8920. System drive is a 250GB SSD. Two more hard drives for data, 1.0 TB and 6.0 TB. External USB ports: USB-C 3.1 (rear), USB-A 3.1 (rear), USB-A 3.0 (front). The difference in transfer speed between front (3.0) and rear (3.1) was negligible. Test

Summary Decent external solid state drive. It delivers everything as promised. Computer technology reviewer with over 30 years of experience. Fast - 321MB/s read; 235 MB/s writing in my tests. In comparison, my Crucial MX500 1TB SSD with USB 3 adapter achieves 276/269 MB/s in the same environment.2. Heatsink - The…

Cute, small and easy to use.

I bought this portable SSD because I play a lot on PC and never tried it with a portable SSD. I have two 512GB M.2 NVMe SSDs. One is Gen 3 and the other is Gen 4. I also have two regular SATA SSDs. One is 256GB and the other is 512GB. So I used different internal SSDs. This disc is very small and looks very nice. I connected it to my PC via USB 3.2 Gen 1. It showed up immediately. I went into storage settings and reformatted the drive to NTFS as I had no plans to use it on anything other than…

Storing unwanted data is best in data storage

Chip programming could not be read because it is written in Chinese. Attempting to erase the items I have stored results in a duplication of those items being written to another part of the chip. Attempting to reformat the drive was a complete disaster. It just doesn't like MAC or WIN. Unknown. Try the right size OYEN SSD. It seems OYEN always works for my needs. I didn't keep the packaging; So I don't get the units back.
