Update 6 28. The rubber holds up with no problem. I got about 30mph and the sidewalls were solid though my rims weren't wide. Turning is fine too. The protector still looks good. Not bare with all the commuting to and from work. Forgot to say I added a regular camera and slime. Also, another layer of the old one Tube as anti-spike between tire and vented tube.I built my own 4WD electric bike.And wanted a bigger and softer anti-impact tire for 500w ebike hub motor.Less harsh impact when going down curbs or ride over them on commute. I drive 21 miles round trip to work mostly on road and some grass and gravel I have a Fat Frank Schwalbe 26 Ordered x2.35 but it's a Mongoose tire, the brand also makes 4 inch fat bikes. It came early so I put it on instead. I bought a Hyper Hydroform full suspension mountain bike with a 29er x2.35 aluminum tire. Balloon compared to a traditional 26x2.2 mountain bike tire. But will still fit a regular 26" rim. The sidewalls feel solid after being inflated with air and the 1.35mm tube and I don't feel like they flex on me when I ride fast and spin. Since I didn't use a fat bike wheel it only stretches out to about 2.5" but I wanted it to be bigger and it did. My 26" balance bike is now a little over 27-27.5" tall and has added 2.5" tire pads from bottom to rim. I have a 27.5 wheel, not a 29" or a base 26". It looks cool I had to use a large tube and found a thick 1.35mm 26x2.8 rubber at Revain. It fits well and is not too big. A 26x4 internal chamber would be too big. The noise of this mountain bike profile is on the road not bad as it is not hard mtb tires with big lugs.Almost the same as trail bike tread both on dirt,gravel and on streets. Yes this is exactly what I wanted, such a great price compared to twice the price of other well known brand tires in this size. Not as thick but much larger than the regular 26, this is Plus Size Now. Gave me a softer and more impact resistant thing that I wanted to have less shake on my ebike geared motor. $25 each, couldn't be happier.
