Much better than the old clip I used to attach my iPad to a tripod. I first bought Melamount because it was cheaper. I watched the iOgrapher video on YouTube for this mount and figured if the iOgrapher sold for the iPad Pro 9.7 works on the iPad 5 then the Melamount made for the same iPad will probably work as well . NOT CORRECT! It is great! It's easy to fit the iPad into the device, it feels solid enough, and it has good, solid grips. I love that it's made in the USA. I don't mind paying a little more for it. It is very convenient for filming videos and as a convenient device for using iPad.
