If you are an artist or know someone who is an artist this set makes a great portable brush set to take with you or use in the studio or at home. really nice with it. It is durable, made of durable woven material and has an original design. The aluminum clasps and cords are of high quality and the zipper is strong too. SIZE Remember that the brushes are large. This means you need to rinse them well with water before using them for the first time to keep the bristles flowing well. BRUSHES work mainly with watercolor, but also with gouache and acrylic. These brushes are great for all of these tasks IF YOU KEEP THE BRUSHES CLEAN AND DON'T LET THE ACRYLIC IN THEM DRY. The selection is large and so is the quality. The brushes have good spring (which I really like about my brushes), excellent tips and a solid shape. The palette knife is handy for applying thick paint to a palette or for use in thicker painting styles. I haven't used them on acrylics or gouache yet. Spring is good and the tips are great for fine areas of painting. They also seem to hold quite a bit of paint, which is a plus. They're not the biggest paint containers on the market, but they work well. STANDThe case converts into a stand that you can use for painting by stacking the brushes back into the case when you're using them. One thing to note: When using the brushes, they need to be rinsed off, so putting them back in the case wet can easily break the ferrules. It is best to hang them in a holder with bristles until they are dry and then put them in a case. BOTTOM LINE This is a great brush set. The case is well made, has a good stand and protects the brush well when not in use. MY RATES FIVE STARS for that. I love the brushes and will use them often.
