Review on Horticat U80 Ultrasonic Commercial Humidifier by Tonya Young

As a tropical plant owner/collector, I have had my office converted into a greenhouse so inundated with plants that it has been difficult to work. I fill my 6 liter humidifier twice a day with weekly scrubs. Talk about stress when you spent $400 on a rare arum and forgot to top up your humidifier overnight! In any case, after a long research, the purchase of this built-in humidifier and a long planning and installation process, I can report with great satisfaction about the satisfactory quality and functionality of this humidifier. under our bathroom sink which sends a continuous stream of filtered water to the humidifier through many twists and turns in 1/4" hoses. The overflow pipe goes back the same way around the overflow line with the R/O filter to the sink drain to share.. After everything was plugged in and flowing, it took about 5 minutes of constant water flow into the humidifier before it automatically turned on. It has been working non-stop for three days since then. I first set it up in our hallway and let it run for about an hour , but the mist ran down the opposite wall and then condensed down to where it dripped. Now I need to paint over that unsightly spot. I then moved the installation to our dining room with much better results with no water accumulation on the ceiling , on the floor or near devices The build quality of the humidifier is OK Hungarian The plastic feels a bit thin in places, but it is lighter and can be easily fixed with two anchor screws, which means that several liters of water remain in the tank. Because life on the wall is of quite decent quality. It's not the prettiest either, and doesn't fit our mid-century modern decor, but it's certainly not as terrible as other built-in industrial humidifiers on the market. On our 1,400 sqm cooling and drafty windows, constantly running air humidifier caused the average humidity to rise steadily from 18% to around 45%, with slight daily fluctuations. We seem to be plateauing in the high 40's. There is a noticeable difference in air quality so overall I'm very happy and would definitely recommend this setup to other plant collectors.
