In terms of quality, this is an incredible advantage, on par with my respected Apple IPS LCD monitor; Reviews are not advertising, I am very satisfied. Contrast is excellent, overall image is superb. I use it at home, connected to my laptop, and it's the perfect size to have two documents open at the same time! Another reviewer said that ViewSonic has no recognizable brand name; In fact, they are one of the longest running computer monitor brands known for their quality products. This product deserves the Viewsonic badge in every respect. So why four stars? what can disappoint me The monitor comes with a VGA D-Sub cable, not DVI! Obviously you cannot play HD content through a VGA cable as it is not connected to the HDCP chip in the monitor. Viewsonic, why do you need a certified 1080P HD monitor? with the required built-in HDCP chip as it should be. and then NOT enclose an HDCP-compliant digital cable, but put a lousy analog cable in the box? I'm surprised by this mistake. This oversight is enough to LOWER the perfect FIVE STARS by ONE STAR. It's still worth buying this monitor, but before you check, toss the DVI cable in the trash unless you're really trying to connect it to a non-HD compatible device. In that case, have you paid first for an HD monitor?
