I have a York Pomeranian mix that weighs about 10 pounds. We ordered a size small and once we tightened it for her we trimmed off the excess and fitted well. She can stand on the couch and look out the window and see what she's barking at, and sometimes she just won't bark at anything. We also think she's scared, so that doesn't reduce the barking either. For the first month or so it was great. When we first put it on and she started barking when people came into our house, it took her a minute or two to realize what was happening when she barked. Usually she only had to bark once, she would hear the beep and know it was time to stop. Especially since my dog also has cramps, we didn't buy her such a collar. Since it wasn't shocking, it seemed like a good option. After about two months, the squeaking and vibration no longer bothered her. She barks through horns and vibrators like she doesn't have them on.
