After looking through dozens of steering wheel covers on Best Buy, I ended up picking these because they had a premium/quality look and great design. I was also sold on the product description, which promised genuine leather, and natural/green/healthy materials. What I actually got, was a bit underwhelming. I bought two of these, and both came vacuum sealed and folded tightly in quarters. No instructions or info came with the product, so installing these took some guesswork, but I was able to get these on without issue (for the most part). The first one was a perfect fit. The second one, however, had slightly puckered edges that I can't seem to get rid of. This is due to the packaging method that left creases all over the product. It's been a couple days and still no luck. I'm really hoping these go away eventually as the material softens up and molds to the shape of the steering wheel. Not a big deal. Now for the problems. These steering wheel covers give off a chemical odor. Not enough to make you dizzy, but definitely noticeable and not what you'd expect for something that's advertised as odorless, natural, green, healthy, environmentally friendly, etc. I'm aware most steering wheel covers have this problem but I was really hoping this would be an exception. Also, even though it's described as leather, it sure doesn't feel like it. If anything, it feels like I'm gripping onto foam, rubber.or a giant eraser. My guess is that it's more plastic/rubber than leather, which also makes me question the validity of their product description. Looking through the reviews of some of their other products, I see mention of fake leather. Some of the more disturbing reviews also warn of lead, that the product is made in China, and that the product tells you to wash your hands after use. Uhh.what the heck? Of course, I didn't receive any instructions/info with my product so I can't confirm if any of this is true. But the chemical smell part and feel of the product is pretty accurate, which does not inspire confidence. Maybe it's just me being paranoid, but if anyone can confirm, that'd be great. All in all, this is an average product. For now, I'd give it a 2.5 rounded to 3 stars out of 5. If there's any chance of lead in this, it's going straight to the garbage and downgraded to 1 star. Really hope it doesn't come to that.
