Before seeing (and eventually buying) this product, I bought a Pony-o brand bun which should do the same thing but you bend it. yourself instead of getting up. I find them easier to use and get better the more I use them. I would say it takes a little learning, so the first time might not be perfect, just keep trying. I think once my hair gets a little longer it will be a little easier for me to use it with my hair. Worked great on my daughter's hair!
