I bought this item because the HTC car mount for Incredible doesn't hold the phone in the case and I liked all the different mount options as I've never had a car mount before. As other reviewers have said, the mount has a lot of lateral movement when attached to my Mazda3's air vent, but I think thin foam wrapped around the air vent to give it more volume and grip will easily solve this , so ' Will buy at the craft store and try. I'll also try mounting it very low on the windshield with a suction cup (instead of at the top of the mirror where it was very intrusive) to see what I prefer. spreads my arms to the sides, which I think will eventually break the item, so I try to lighten things up by wrapping my hand around the entire block when I press the button so my fingers soften the outward motion and prevent the phone from falling. For anyone having trouble installing the product, be sure to check out all the customization options available, some of which aren't mentioned in the manual. For example, the support legs that the phone rests on can be adjusted or removed by sliding, as well as being moved to a rail on the other end of the unit (essentially flipped), providing better clearance for the volume button on my phone. Also, I had to remove (by squeezing) the support leg of the vent clip and flip it to better fit the edge of the vent. There's even a second set of holes so you can elevate your leg if needed. In combination with the rotating adjustment nut, it's great. The swivel holds up well enough, even if it's a bit loose, that I can adjust the alignment without having to unscrew and retighten it. I'm really impressed with the amount of customization that can be done within a simple design. Taking off two stars for the botched design of the deflector mounting brackets and the obviously harsh trigger, but so far I'm happy with the purchase.
