Worth a Few Dollars More

I had a fight between this scale and the Weighmax 2822-75LB mail order scale, battery and power supply included. For a few euros more I think this scale is worth every penny. Other product reviewers said they had to calibrate the scale at 75 pounds. If I had seen that comment just once I would have dismissed it, but since a lot of people complained about it I went with this scale. The scale can display weight in different units (grams, kilograms, ounces, pounds, pounds and ounces). USPS, FedEx, and US-based UPS operate in pounds and ounces. The scale is pretty basic and when not calibrated there is a "zero" button that will set the scale to 0. I really don't think so. could be easier and that's what I like about it. I've already used the scale to ship a few items and nothing has been refused by the USPS, although I usually add a few ounces just to be on the safe side. Some additional tips and suggestions: - Don't forget to add shipping weight. label and tape. I usually weigh a sheet of paper with a shipping label on it and add 1-2 ounces to seal the box with tape. Make sure you put everything in the package before weighing it. Yes, it's not a problem, but it's worth double-checking before you print a shipping label and then cancel it and go through all that hassle. Make sure the scale is on a solid surface. Not that it matters, I just prefer a solid surface between the scale and the floor. Make sure your package only affects the scale (I work in a small space and if the package is on a keyboard, mice). , or any other object. which will also cause additional problems. Overall I think this is a great product and I will update this post if the product breaks or the scale is inaccurate. Happy shipping (and save postage)! Update 5/1/13 - Having used this scale for a year I can say it works well for accurate shipping (never failed due to underweight). on these scales without making it impossible to read the weight), so I can't say how accurate it is for products over 10lbs. Nevertheless 5 stars!
