Perfect sports shorts; better than Armor Raid

I've been wearing gym/basketball shorts more than ever since I moved from home to work due to the pandemic. I'm also quite active so they are used for hiking, trail running, mountain biking and just long walks around the neighborhood with the dog. I have a few old loyal pairs that finally needed replacing and I decided to try on two of my favorite brands of shorts to see which ones are better these days. I ordered these and Under Armor Raid shorts, a very similar pair. Spoiler alert, these adidas shorts win by the mile. There are a few key things that set these shorts apart from any pair you can buy at a department store. Someone really put some thought into making these shorts. On the back of the shorts, just below the waistband at the top of the buttocks, there is a perforated section at a key sweat point for breathability. Under Armor shorts are much simpler and use the same non-perforated material as all shorts. Other reviews complain about the pocket size, but have certainly never tried running with a phone, keys, pocket knife, etc. My Under Armor Raid shorts which have larger pockets that spin wildly as you run and smash your stuff. Keep up with every step, adidas shorts pockets are better designed and perfect for my galaxy s10 and everyday EDC pockets. use and when i start running things feel snug in the pocket and not dangling, they stay in place while running almost like magic. The material of the pockets is also much thicker and stronger than the johns which have cheap lightweight mesh material in the pockets. The adidas cut looks more fitted and less messy than johns, and the material is a bit thicker. , but both hardly seem easy. The main fabric of these shorts is light enough to be unnoticeable during any workout, yet thick enough and has a premium feel to last. The Under Armor shorts feel great but the material is thinner and doesn't feel as premium and has already started to roll and snag where the adidas have retained their integrity and look new. Long story short (no pun intended) these adidas shorts will be the ones I go for when I want to exercise or just want the best shorts for around the house and I will be buying multiple pairs of these perfect shorts. Stop here, these are the ones to buy.
