I use this slicer to slice strawberries for my dehydrator. Slicers that use wire failed the test after slicing just a few pounds, and using a knife takes forever. I needed something better and this really is better. Pros: He cuts powerfully and chews strawberry crates. No more questioning whether my slicer will last! The Bad: The narrow handle allows the blades to cut into the plastic if off-center. I use both hands, not for power but for control. Deformity: Serrated blades tend to pick up and hold strawberry seeds, requiring a brush to clean. Maybe there's something better for slicing strawberries, but for now, that'll do.
